Bocce vs. a “Frolic”

WORD BOCCE

The Motor City Wine and Food Festival is at it again as we celebrate our fifth season of offering imaginative and “must attend” events all while supporting Adult Literacy in the tri county area. This year we offer two special events for you to enjoy…. A Prohibition “Frolic and Bocce, Bocce, Bocce!

On Sunday, May 6th from 2-6p.m., we offer: A Prohibition “Frolic”. Set in the historical Players Club at 3321 East Jefferson in Detroit, this 1925 Playhouse will be the backdrop for our spin on the Jazz Age. Your ticket includes savory appetizers and a dessert medley, drinks (including a special Speak Easy concoction), music that will make your toes tap, a tour of the Player’s Club,  memorable moments and a Frolic –light-hearted entertainment–presented by the Players ensemble.

Tickets are $150 per person. Valet Parking is included.

The adventure continues on Sunday, May 20th from 1-5p.m., with–Bocce, Bocce, Bocce! Also known as Italian lawn bowling, Bocce is one of the most widely played games in the world. Novice or pro, this event is right up your alley, or in Bocce “speak” court. Join us at Palazzo di Bocce, 4291 Lapeer Road, Lake Orion, as we spend the day with enthusiastic cheers as “teams”–including some local celebrities– enjoy friendly games of Bocce. Your ticket also includes an Italian buffet, open bar,  and a vintage car display.

Tickets are $75 per person. This is a “not to miss” event!
